"Anybody can be a great photographer if they zoom in enough on what they love"

- David Bailey

My name is Brodie Ayles, and I'm a photographer and visual artist from southeast England. From a young age, I have been interested in photography since I was given my first camera at the age of eight, which sparked my interest in taking pictures.

From finding this interest in photography at a young age, I knew I wanted to take my interest and love for photography as far as I could. I to progress my journey to studying art and photography from my GCSE (2015-2018) and then continued studying at UCA Canterbury for two years for my Extended diploma (2018-2020); I then went on to study at UCA Rochester to study BA (Hons) photography (2020-2023) where I finished this degree with first-class honours. After finishing my BA in 2023, I then went on to study my master’s in fine art back at UCA Canterbury (2023-2025).

While studying, I refined my skills by growing my Instagram profile, learning new skills using different cameras, working with different lighting, and doing multiple jobs for people over the years to get used to client work. When working, I use a range of resources to capture my photographs, working with digital photography and also film photography within my archive of work.
